Abstract:Objective: To compare the effect of two methods wiping off the robotic camera lens mist. Methods: Random allocation was taken to averagely divide 80 cases undergoing the partial nephrectomy via robot-assisted laparoscopy into two groups: 40 cases preheating the camera lens by the 80℃ sterilized water to wipe off mist as control group, and 40 cases with iodine yarn ball as observation group. We compared incidence of the lens mist, the times of wiping the lens and the camera definition. Results: There was significant difference in incidence of the lens mist, the times of wiping the lens and the camera definition between two groups (P<0.05). Conclusions: Using the iodine yarn ball to wipe the robotic camera lens mist was economical and effective.
